Not all designers want to admit this, but our work is marketing. My work has intersected with marketing on many fronts; content marketing, social media, and search engine marketing. Creating and managing SEM campaigns, including custom landing pages, but also concurrent YouTube video campaigns, and MailChimp newsletter campaigns.
My earliest form of digital marketing started on Social Media, and to date I have created content and ads on Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook (including business manager), Instagram, Twitter, MySpace, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube. In recent years I’ve started using Figma and Adobe XD for social media content, because they made it very easy to work with different dimensions. And I’ve worked with the free version of HootSuite.
My content marketing experience often focuses on optimizing SEO for search engines, creating and updating content, ensuring the link preview image is active, adding photos, illustrations and updating hyperlinks.
